“Testifico” means “I testify” in Spanish. New missionaries learning the language sometimes lean on their companion's words while their own vocabulary catches up.
Missionaries practice their new language with anyone who will listen. Pets are patient listeners and never point out mistakes.
Missionaries learning a new language pray for the gift of tongues, the spiritual gift of speaking and understanding a language (1 Corinthians 12; Doctrine and Covenants 46). Toddlers seem to have their own interpretation.
