Latter-day Saints sometimes call each other Saints. In New Orleans, though, “the Saints” usually means the football team, and General Conference weekend can overlap with game day. Not everyone gets the double meaning right away.
In this panel: Two sister missionaries sit on a couch taking notes as General Conference plays on the TV, while the friend beside them, dressed head to toe in New Orleans Saints gear in a living room full of football memorabilia, slumps with her chin in her hands.
